A new chapter in luxury hairdressing has arrived in Wolverhampton with the opening of Lukas Payne | Hair Studio – a private boutique salon created by award-winning stylist and Revlon Professional Visionaries Re-Mastered 2025 winner, Lukas Payne.

Officially opened with a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by the Mayor of Wolverhampton, Councillor Craig Collingswood, alongside Karen Thomas of Revlon Professional, the new Lukas Payne | Hair Studio offers a highly personalised, appointment-only salon experience designed around creativity, connection, and client care.
As part of a striking Victorian property, the salon is an intimate and design-led destination that blends heritage features with a modern, elevated aesthetic. Original fireplaces, flooring and architectural details have been preserved throughout the space, while bespoke cabinetry and carefully curated interiors create a warm, bohemian-inspired environment with an exclusive VIP feel. Clients access the studio via intercom, reinforcing the salon’s discreet and one-to-one approach to luxury hairdressing.

Independent working and a loyal client base
For Lukas, the opening marks a deeply personal milestone following a transformative period in his career. With more than 18 years in the industry, Lukas built his reputation through independent working and a loyal client base, but admits he came close to walking away from hairdressing altogether before rediscovering his passion through the Revlon Professional Visionaries programme.
Originally from Poland, Lukas began his journey in hairdressing at just 11 years old, helping in a family salon before later moving to the UK and building a successful freelance career. However, years of working alone eventually led to burnout and isolation – something he has since spoken openly about in a bid to encourage greater conversation around mental wellbeing within the industry.

Recognition within the Industry
Known for his bespoke blonding work, creative colour and personalised approach, Lukas has quickly gained recognition within the industry. Alongside being a winning team member of Visionaries Re-Mastered 2025, he is also a Revlon Professional Colour Specialist 2025, a double finalist at the UK Hair & Beauty Awards and has showcased his work at HairCon and Salon International.
“Opening Lukas Payne | Hair Studio feels incredibly emotional because just over a year ago, I honestly thought I was leaving hairdressing for good,” explains Lukas. “This salon represents a completely new chapter for me – not just professionally, but personally too. I wanted to create a space that feels calm, welcoming and genuinely personal, where clients can enjoy a luxury experience but also feel comfortable and cared for.”
The launch event welcomed guests from across the local community and hair industry, officially marking the arrival of a salon that combines premium hairdressing with a highly personal approach to client experience.
